Kazan schoolchildren passed “Green Relay” today

How to sort garbage correctly? What plants are included into the Red Book? Why the natural resources become polluted? These and other questions were answered today by the participants of the environmental game “Green Relay”. The nature protection event was held in the City Children’s Ecological and Biological Center of Kazan. As noted by the jury, schoolchildren showed deep knowledge in the field of environmental protection. Damir Valiullin, the head of the department of environmental education and interaction with public organizations of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, noted that schoolchildren are interested in studying the natural resources of their native land. They took an active part in the environmental actions during the sanitary-ecological two-month campaign: participated in clean-ups, made birdhouses, planted trees, collected waste paper. This year, the city children’s ecological and biological center was awarded the title of the winner in the contest “Eco-spring 2017” in the nomination “Ecocenter”.
