Sergei Donskoy: “In Tatarstan the best available technologies are used, which give an advantage in economy, environment, and products quality”

The Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia, Sergey Donskoi, highly appreciated the nature protection activity of Nizhnekamsk industrial enterprises. The Federal Minister visited the facilities of Tatneft. He got acquainted with the production process at Nizhnekamsk Tire Plant, LLC, with the development rate of the TANECO Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex, the concept of advanced oil refining, assessed the environmental friendliness of the project and modern environmental and resource-saving technologies used at the refinery. During his working visit Sergei Donskoy was accompanied by the head of the Federal Service for Supervision in the field of nature management Artem Sidorov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatar Farid Abdulganiev, head of the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District, Mayor of Nizhnekamsk Aidar Metshin, Tatneft Nail Maganov, representatives of federal and republican ministries and departments.
Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation Sergey Donskoi noted that TANECO used the best available technologies that give an advantage in the economy, the environment and in the products quality.
As part of a trip to Nizhnekamsk, Sergei Donskoi got acquainted with the work of the Zakamsk Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The head of the Ministry of Natural Resources demonstrated the territorial system of the environment monitoring, the material and technical base and information technologies in the work of Tatarstan environmentalists. “The territorial system for the environment monitoring in the Republic of Tatarstan consists of 8 modern stationary eco-analytical laboratories, 16 automatic air pollution control stations, 6 mobile environmental laboratories, patrol ecological-analytical vessel “Flamingo” and 3 speedboats. This system includes observations of the state of atmospheric air, soil, water. Observations of the state of atmospheric air are carried out in the country at 123 observation points, making more than 2 million analyzes per year, including by number of pollutants; the control is carried out continuously in an automatic mode,” reported Farid Abdulganiev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Sergei Donskoi noted the quality work of Tatarstan ecologists, and stressed that the experience of the republic in environmental issues will be applied in other regions of Russia.
Also, the project of reconstruction of the Nizhnekamsk dam was discussed.
