Athletes and fans went to All-Russian ecological clean-up “Green Russia”

The adjacent territory of the Kazan Arena and the shoreline of the Kazanka River was cleaned today of garbage by well-known sportsmen, active fans, young people, and students of Tatarstan. A large-scale clean-up was held in the framework of the All-Russian ecological action “Green Russia”. It should be noted that the stadium “Kazan Arena” is one of the few in Russia certified under the Russian voluntary certification system “RUSO. Football stadiums”. In preparation for the FIFA 2018 World Cup (hereinafter – 2018 World Cup) in Russia, the certification of stadiums for compliance with the norms of “green” construction is a prerequisite and involves ensuring compliance of all stadiums with the 2018 World Cup requirements of one of the systems of environmental certification.
Sanitary condition of Kazan, being the venue for the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and the FIFA 2018 World Cup in Russia, is given a special attention.
