Today, the employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan held a large-scale clean-up on the Blue Lake in Kazan. Representatives of the administration of the Aviastroitelniy and Novo-Savinovsky districts of the city, participants in the youth movement BUDETCHISTO, and the unindifferent inhabitants of nearby settlements actively joined the environmental action. On the international Earth Day, volunteers cleaned up the coastal zone of the lake, removed debris, deadwood and windfall. As noted by the head of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan Ilham Sabirov, the Blue Lake is a favorite rest area for the residents of the republic. Despite the constant flow of people in the recreation area, the garbage near it is getting less every year. It’s nice that the people's consciousness to natural resources is changing in a positive way. The General Eco-cleaning on the Blue Lake gave the participants positive emotions. As part of the action, the ECO-activists were treated with buckwheat porridge cooked in the field kitchen.
