April 22 – International Earth Day

On April 22 celebrated an international holiday, honoring pure Water, Air, Earth. A day that reminds of environmental disasters to all who lives on the planet, the day when everyone should think about what one personally can do to address pressing environmental issues “here and now”. Annually on this day around the world various actions are carried out aimed on preservation of water, earth resources and other gifts of the nature. On the Blue Lake, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan will hold a large-scale clean up dedicated to the Earth Day.
A number of events will be held in the Museum of Natural History of Tatarstan. On April 22-23 from 10 to 17 there will be the game “Multicolored planet!”. Visitors will be able to get acquainted with the ancient inhabitants of our planet and discover interesting facts related to the Earth. The participants should bring a pencil or pen, they will be guided by a special guide. On April 22 at 10 a.m. the action “Let's save hedgehog!” starts. Within a month, everyone can bring to the museum energy saving lamps and batteries. On this day, the first 50 visitors will receive prizes. On April 23 at 12 a.m. a creative lesson “Our amazing planet” will be held. During the event, visitors will conduct experiments with magnets and electricity. At 3 p.m. the international exhibition of children’s drawings “Healthy Planet” will open. The exhibition will feature works created by young patients of the Vatican Hospital Bambino Gesù, the Moscow Regional Scientific Research Clinical Institute. MF VLADIMIRSKY (MONIKI), the Scientific and Practical Center for Specialized Medical Care for Children named after V.F. Voyno-Yasnetsky (Moscow), children with hearing problems of Children’s Art School No. 4 (Kazan). On this day, visitors will be able to get water from the reserve Mari sources.
