Inspection in Sovietsky district of Kazan. Residents complain about irresponsible behaviour of citizens
Sanitary and ecological state of the city of Kazan was inspected today by specialists of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. One of the landfills was found in the Sovietsky district, on the Poperchno-Noksinskaya street. “The garbage heap was formed as a result of the uncivilized and disrespectful attitude of citizens towards the environment”, local residents say. According to them, the waste accumulated in the winter. Despite the fact that there are containers for collection of solid waste nearby, garbage was thrown about nearby territories. “There have been cases when the waste was brought in by trucks and vans”, – that's why, according to the residents, the containers are overflowing quickly. The offernders will be brought to administrative responsibility under art. 8.2. Administrative Code of the Russian Federation “Non-compliance with environmental and sanitary-epidemiological requirements when handling waste products of production and consumption, persons who have committed pollution of territories”. A similar picture is seen in the Torfyanaya street. Paper boxes, plastic bottles, plastic bags and old furniture are spread over an area of about 50 sq.m. All identified landfills are mapped on the Ecological map of the Republic of Tatarstan.
