Schoolchildren of Russia and near abroad can participate in XI All-Russian Olympiad of Young Geologists

The Federal Agency for Subsoil Use and the Russian Geological Society invite schoolchildren to participate in the 11th All-Russian open field Olympiad for young geologists. The educational event will be held from July 31 to August 9 in the Kemerovo region. 500 schoolchildren from different regions of Russia and the near abroadwill be fighting for the title of the best in its field. Young geologists will demonstrate their knowledge and experience in the following contests: “Geological route”, “Geological section”, “Paleontology”, “Mineralogy and petrography”, “Hydrology”, “Radiometry”, “Heavy mineral concentrate sampling”, “Oil and gas”, “Basics of safety”, “Organization of field campground”, “Geological report”, “Description of geological monument”. In addition to sports competitions, schoolchildren will take part in geological contests (“Geology and Us”, “Photography”, “Drawing”, “Stoneartwork”).

To participate in the Olympiad, please, send a request to the working group of the Organizing Committee not later than April 20, 2017.
