Schoolchildren of Tatarstan can get join ecological shift in “Artek”

Tatarstan schoolchildren are invited to participate in the second All-Russian competition of nature protection, environmental education and creative projects. The event is organized by the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization “Your Nature” with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation. The contest is held to identify students who have shown themselves in projects in the field of ecology, environmental protection, and worthy of being encouraged to join an ecological shift, held from 27-28 May to 17-18 June 2017 in the International Children’s Center“Artek”.

To participate in competitive nominations, one should read the Provision of competitive selection, placed on www.tvoya-priroda.ru in section “Contests” and fill in the corresponding application till April, 9th, 2017 (inclusive). The results will be published on April 15.

The shift and the contest are organized with the aim of promoting ideas of nature conservation, development of ecological culture, as well as creating conditions for spiritual, moral, and patriotic education of youth. In May-June 2016, the first all-Russian ecological shift “Reserve Country” was successfully held at “Artek” with more than 150 schoolchildren-winners of the contest. Within the framework of the shift, biologists, experts in various spheres of ecology, teachers, specialists of specially protected natural areas (PAs), methodologists, representatives of environmental NGOs conducted various interactive classes, environmental presentations, actions, flash mobs, games and quests for children. Kids learned about the history of the protected system, educational tourism, implementation of the principles of eco-friendliness in protected areas. In addition, the children got acquainted with the natural and historical monuments of the Republic of Crimea and the hero-city Sevastopol.
