Today, First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan RustemKamalov took part in the VIII International Forum “Ecology”. The event was held in Moscow in the congress park of the Radisson Royal Hotel, Moscow. The forum was held within the framework of the project of the party “United Russia”“St. Petersburg – the sea capital of Russia”. The business program of the event covered a wide range of issues related to regulatory and legal regulation in the field of environmental protection and waste management, modernization of water and communal services system, improving the quality of drinking water and minimizing damage to public water disposal, developing and implementing the best available technologies in industry and housing and communal services, development and implementation of regional programs in the field of waste management. Also, the participants discussed the problems of charging fees for negative impact on the environment, prevention and liquidation of oil spills. Within the framework of the public agendawere raised such topics as the implementation of activities within the framework of the Year of Ecology, environmental education, etc. A number of special events took place at the forum site, in particular, an open discussion devoted to the prospects of “green” development of Russia. Its participants discussed the development of the Concept of environmentally sustainable (“green”) development of the Russian Federation. During the forum an exhibition exposition of 1500 square meters was held, where the latest environmental technologies and equipment were presented.
The organizer is ANO “Public Forum “Ecology”, Public Council of which is headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Ecology and Environmental Protection of the Federal Assembly of Russia Nikolai Valuev. The event was supported by the Federation Council of Russia, the State Duma, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, the Federal Service for Supervision of Nature Management, and other relevant ministries and departments.
Among the participants there were representatives of specialized bodies of state power, science, public organizations, industrial and transport companies, municipal utilities organizations, eco-services, as well as developers, manufacturers and suppliers of eco-technologies and eco-equipment. The aim of the event is to develop proposals for improving legislation and state policy in the field of environmental protection.
