All-Russian library campaign “Day of Ecological Knowledge” to be heldin all Russia under the Year of Ecology

In the Year of Ecology, the Russian state library for youth and the Russian National public library for science and technology hold the All-Russian campaign in the format of a single day action “Day of environmental knowledge”, timed to the International Day of Environmental Knowledge on April 15. The event is supported by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ministry of Culture of Russia. On this day, a number of interactive events will simultaneously take place in Russian libraries: festivals, marathons, lectures, creative workshops, environmental lessons, quests, quizzes, and more. Currently, more than 500 libraries from 55 regions have sent applications for participation in the action. The action is carried out with the purpose to consolidate the libraries of Russia in the Year of Ecology for carrying out eco-educational activities with the participation of children and youth. Both public libraries (from scientific to rural) and libraries of general education institutions (school libraries, higher and special education libraries) participate in the event.

Within the framework of the action “Day of ecological knowledge”, there will also be anabsentia All-Russian competition for the best ecology and educational event of libraries.
