Nature and man – two inseparable concepts. 5th Republican Ecological Festival in Nizhnekamsk

Children’s ecological and biological centre of Nizhnekamsk gathered young ecologists-researchers of the whole republic. Students of schools took part in the V Republican Ecological Festival “Nature and Us”. Expertsfrom the Kama Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan appliedwith a welcoming speech to the participants and guests of the event. “Nature and man are two inseparable concepts. The man at all times co-existed with the environment: used water and forest resources, extracted minerals, hunted and fished. But, using natural resources, people began to forget that resources are not unlimited. And this led to the destruction of ecological balance in nature. What was destroyed must be restored. The task of modern society is to preserve the beauty of the environment for the future generation”,environmentalists said. The Ecological Festival was held in the format of a scientific and practical conference. Young environmentalists presented the results of the research to the jury. The projects and ideas of the schoolchildren aroused special interest among the jury members, therefore they will be considered and implementedwithin the framework of the Year of Ecology. During the festival, there was a creative exhibition of decorative handicrafts. Participants of the festival made products of environmentally friendly materials and used things. “MASTERILKA” and other handmade nominations were the most popular among the participants. Each of the items presented here had a special ecological meaning. So, looking at this lamp made of plastic spoons, we can conclude that if a thing can not be thrown away, then it is always possible to make something beautiful from it”,the organizers of the event shared their impressions.
