In the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces, KFU and Ministry of Ecology to strengthen cooperation in environmental protection

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Kazan (Volga) Federal University will unite efforts in ensuring the environmental safety of the Republic of Tatarstan. The corresponding document was signed today by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan FaridAbdulganiev and the rector of the KFU IlshatGafurov. The event took place during the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Kazan (Volga) Federal University, which was held by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan RustamMinnikhanov.

Under the Agreement, it is envisaged to implement joint measures aimed at ensuring the environmental safety of the Republic of Tatarstan and jointly addressing such issues as rational use of nature, conservation of biological diversity, prevention of negative impact of economic and other activities on the environment through participation in the development, implementation, and monitoring of educational programs, other documents in the part of environmental monitoring, environmental education and public education, conducting environmentally-oriented actions and activities.
