Industry and Trade Minister Albert Karimov and Head of NizhnekamskAidarMetshin participated in ECO-lesson
Unusual environmental lesson was held today at schools No.28 in Nizhnekamsk. It was conducted by teachers of the Children’s ecological and biological center and kids from the scientific club“Ecograd”, while experts were Tatarstan Industry and Trade Minister Albert Karimov, Head of Nizhnekamsk region AidarMetshin, and Head of the Kama Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Lobanov. “Environmental education and training are the core of modern education and key to the recostructuring of its current systems and society in general. Today environmental education is particularly importantas a basis for a new morality and solution of numerous problems of everyday life” – said the head of the Kama TA. During the lesson the winners of environmental contests and competitions TimurPoryvaev and AlinaGarayevapresented their eco - projects. The first report of a studentwas dedicated to environmentally friendly technologies in TANECO. TimurPoryvaev shared his impressions of the trip to this plant, being almost at the top of the world rankingson the “green” technologies”. However, it’s not just about the high responsibility for protecting the environment from plant emissions, but also on the production itself which helps to solve other plants’ problem of waste disposal. TANEKO processes oil completely, without losing anything, and the output is light oil, the least harmful to the environment. Then,AlinaGarayeva moved away from the problems of a big industry, and turned the students’ attention to a unique natural area,Lebyazhye lake. The most interesting thing is that while the first swans were staying here for feeding and relaxing during long migratory flights, in 2012 some of them began to build nests and stay for the winter. Cozylake with area of less than 0.5 sq. km became for Nizhnekamsk people a little pearl of the local landscape, she said. AlinaGarayeva even offered to give the area the status of a naturemonument, as the rivers StepnoyZai, Sheshma and Borkowsk country. And also to arrange a viewing platform on the other side of the highway so that tourists would not scare wild birds (by the way,among them not only swans, but also other species, including rare ones). AidarMetshin called the speech about the Lebyazhye lake a revelation, and promised to pay attention and take action. In addition, the head of the district responded in detail to a question on creation of separate waste collectionsystem inNizhnekamsk. The containers havebeen installed in some yards, but the overall system is not built yet. According to him, there should be a cycle, which includes not only the collection and sorting, but also a competent waste management.
On March 1 were launched environmental lessons under the Year ecology and public spacesin Tatarstan. In the coming days they will be held in all Tatarstan schools and gymnasiums. Activities are conducted with the aim of promoting environmental awareness and education of the younger generation, raising the level of environmental knowledge, education of careful attitude to nature of native land, formation of ecological outlook, supporting the system of continuous environmental education in the Republic of Tatarstan.
