Students of Menzelinsk are not indifferent to environmentalproblems. Ecologists conducted interactive game “Ecology – our future”with children

“Ecology defines the future”, Vladimir Muzafarov, state inspector of the Prikamsky territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, began his speech at an open ecological lesson. The event was held in School No. 1 of Menzelinsk. The lesson was timed to the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in the Republic of Tatarstan. His guests were the head of the executive committee of the region IlgizarShagaliev, the state environment protection officer in Menzelinsky district AlfiyaSalikhova, the head of the methodical center of the education department Marina Rodicheva. Students of the form 9A prepared an interesting presentation, where they told to the younger children about the state of the environmental situation on our planet, the harmful effects of emissions from vehicles, and respect for nature. The children actively participated in the national contest “School Eco Patrol”, thus helping to identify violations of environmental legislation, and two years in a row became winners of this competition.

EKO-lessons are held throughout the country. Lecturers are representatives of the Office of the President of the Republic, deputies of the State Council, employees of many ministries and departments of Tatarstan, republican bodies of executive power, teachers of higher educational institutions of the republic. The classes are aimed at spreading environmental awareness among the younger generation, fostering responsible attitude to natural resources and the environment, forming an ecological outlook, developing a system of continuous environmental education in the Republic of Tatarstan.
