Educational event “Nature and Man” opened the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in the secondary school of Apastov District. Ecological lesson for children was conducted by the inspector of the Volga territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the head of the district Rashid Zagidullin. Ecologists told schoolchildren about the existing unique natural objects in and around Tatarstan. Sviyaga River, Ekatherine Lake, Lobach Mountain, Labyshkinsky Mountains, Dolgaya Polyana, Mordovian meadows, Novo-Chekura forest-steppe, Tarkhanovsky oak forests – this is an incomplete list of the most beautiful places in our area. Our land is rich in amazing landscapes. To let the nature always rejoices our eyes, it is necessary to protect and care of it”, employees of Volga TA said. Students noted that every one of them can contribute to the preservation of natural beauty. “For this, it is not necessary to be an ecologist and work in a state body. We can contribute by adhering to the simplest rules of behavior in nature: do not litter, do not ruin bird nests, do not tear flowers. It is better to do everything on the contrary: plant trees and flowers, take care of wintering birds, make feeders and birdhouses”, they said.
