Ecology, health and sport – three interrelated things in our life. Eco-lessonfor future Olympic champions.
Ecological lesson was held today for students of the Kazan School of the Olympic Reserve. The lesson was conducted by the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, ex-water polo player IrekZinnurov. The event, held within the framework of the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces, aroused genuine interest among young athletes. After watching thematic videos and presentation, the guys actively responded to questions aboutenvironment. “Nature is like the source of the spiritual force for a human. In natural conditions, it is easier to create learning situations in which not only skills and abilities develop, but also the volitional powers of the student, the ability to make a responsible decision when choosing certain actions with respect to the environment, – said IrekZinnurov.– Ecology, health and sport – these are three interrelated disciplines in our life. Uniting together, we ensure the healthy and ecological future of our children. Therefore, it is difficult to overestimate the importance of such lessons. The young are our future, and from their ecological self-awareness depends how harmonious and natural our tomorrowwill be!”
ECO-lessons are held throughout the republic. Lecturers are employees of environmental departments of federal and republican bodies of executive power: the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Forestry of Tatarstan, deputies of the State Council of Tatarstan, the Department of RosPrirodNadzor in Tatarstan, the Office of the RosSelkhozNadzor in Tatarstan, teachers of profile faculties of higher educational institutions of the republic. The lessons are aimed at spreading environmental awareness among the younger generation, fostering responsible attitude to natural resources and the environment, forming an ecological outlook, developing a system of continuous environmental education in the Republic of Tatarstan.
