Offenders failed to hide dumping of sugar beet waste into the soil – administrative investigation initiated

Message on unauthorized waste discharge in the territory of the Buinsk district was received by the telephone hotline of the Zavolzhsky territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Upon arrival at the site, the inspector recorded the fact of unauthorized discharge of waste products of sugar and sugar beet at a distance of 350m from the northern gate of the enterprise LLC “Buinsk Sugar”. The contaminated area was10 sq.m., the volume of stored waste amounted to 35 cubic meters. Upon this fact, environmentalists compiled against the offendersan administrative protocol on Art. 8.2 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses “Non-compliance with environmental and sanitary-epidemiological requirements when handling production and consumption wastes, substances that deplete the ozone layer, or other hazardous substances”.
