Environmentalists of Tatarstan skied 2017 meters.

Today, employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in the XXXV open the All-Russian mass ski race “Ski Track of Russia – 2017”. A welcoming speech was delivered by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan VasilShaykhraziev. “On behalf of the President of Tatarstan and the Government, as well as on my own behalf, I congratulate all the participants of the race “Ski Track of Russia”. It has become a good tradition for all Russia, including Tatarstan, to carry out large ski competitionsat the end of February. To date, more than 170 thousand Tatarstan people participated in the “Ski Track of Russia”. Given the number of our sports facilities and sports teams, we are by right the sports capital of Russia. Today in each our municipalitywehave the opportunity to cultivatelove to sports and healthy way of life in our children from an early age”, – he said.

The most populous ski competitions in the country took place at three venuesin the capital of Tatarstan: the stadium “Locomotive” in the village of Yudino, Gorkinsko-Ometevsky forest park, and floodplain of the river Kazanka (alongGavrilovastreet).

Employees of the Ministry of Ecology participated at the main venue, on Yudino stadium “Locomotive”. Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan FaridAbdulganiyev stressed that such activities improvenot only health, but also team unity.

 “Ski Track of Russia” is held annually since 1982, and is always a big winter holiday. The number of participants is increasing from year to year. In Kazan All-Russian mass ski race was held for the 13th time (since 2005).
