Tatarstan students will be able to take part in ECO-project on urban environment restoration in Madrid

The annual international contest “Multi-comfort house2017” continues to receive applications. Participants are required to develop a project of the urban environment restorationwithin the borders of the the Gran-San-Blas district in Madrid, with the eco-friendly architecture harmoniously integrated into the present urban space. The prerequisite is meeting the MAD-RE criteria and criteria for the “Saint-Gobain Multi-Comfort House” concept, taking into account the climatic conditions and regional peculiarities of the Spanish capital. In addition to the construction, the social and economic aspects must be also considered, and the proposed decision should give a new impetus to the development of existing urban space. Traditionally, the contest consists of two stages: national and international. In Russia, students from more than 35 universities from across the country have applied, and due to geographical distance from each other the additional selection of projects is carried out in a form of online semi-final. The works can be submitteduntil 1 March, and online semi-final will be held before 15 March to select the top 10 teams, Then, theywill compete for the first place in the national finals (in April 2017 in Moscow). And only the best of the best will represent Russia among more than 20 countries at the international final in Madrid. Members of national and international finals will receive cash awards and special prizes from partners of the contest, and, of course, precious experience of interaction with future and already established world-class professionals.

The organizer of the event is “Saint-Gobain”. This year, the official partners of the Russian stage are the Council on “green” construction, GRAPHISOFT, representing ARCHICAD brand, and Bosch Thermotechnologyrepresenting the Buderus brand. The student contest is held by ISOVER since 2005 in many countries as a part of a global strategy to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Russia joined the project in 2011, and during this time itinvolved more than a thousand students from different regions of the country, each of which had an opportunity to approve themselves in the field of contemporary architecture.

MULTI-COMFORT HOUSE PROJECT2017

 

The task of the 13th International Contest for students “Multi-Comfort House Project” was developed by ISOVER in collaboration with the Department of Architecture of Madrid Municipality and consists in recovery of the urban space of the neighbourhood around the perimeter of the Gran-San-Blas district in Madrid. The participants are required to develop the architecture project that meets the nature protection requirements and is harmoniously integrated into the urban space, the prerequisite is compliance with the criteria of MAD-RE and Multi-Comfort House concept of Saint-Gobain.The climatic conditions and regional peculiarities of Madridshould be also taken into account. In addition to construction, social and economic aspectsshould be also considered, and the proposed decision should give a new impetus to the development of existing urban space. The architecture should fit into the surrounding space. The solutions for urban space in immediate vicinity to the construction sitewill be offered. The total volume of the task is the presence of a constructive approach to the construction work and active participation in the development of the concept of the future reconstruction of European cities.

 

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

The participants can be students of architecture, design and civil engineering or other disciplines, from universities located in the countries where the contest is organized.

Entry is available for students of 1- 6 years, both individuals and teams of up to 3 students (excl. instructor).

The student can notenter two teams and submit projects for the same stage of the contest. Each team is allowed to submit only one project.

The team can not participate in two different National stages or in the National stage and introductory online-stage.
