Quality and ecological safetyof food. Chief environmentalist of Tatarstan FaridAbdulganiyevlearned the diet of schooland pre-school children in Yelabuga.

Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan FaridAbdulganiyevfamiliarizedwith the quality of products, and principles of organization of healthy food in schools and kindergartens of Yelabuga. “Every person’s health depends largely on the quality of the food consumed. Therefore, a healthy eating habit should be formed in the family at an early age. The student diet should include only ecological products”, – said the Minister. The first object of the visit was the secondary school No.1. The head of the Ministry of Ecology lunched with students (the menu included buckwheat with sausage, juice, and apple), and asked the students whether they are satisfied with the quality of school meals. Kids said that they are satisfied with the school lunch, but noted that adding pastries would be fine. Next point ofthe food quality inspection was the kindergarten No.26. “We checked warehouses and distribution lines. School and pre-school cateringiswell-organized”, – said the Minister. In educational institutions different catering schemes are used: buffet, cooking of semi-finished products, and full cycle cooking. It depends on the financial state of the school and the available space. “We must ensure thatthe equally high quality, tasty, and variedmeals are offered in all schools and kindergartens of the city”– summed upFaridAbdulganiyev.

In addition to canteens, Minister of Ecologychecked the school rooms, sports, and ballroomsof Yelabuga.
