“Taking care of nature, animals and plants, andpreserving its primevalness – foundation of environmental education”.

Today the secondary Russian-Tatar school No.161 of Kazan hosted a meeting of activists, students, employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the member of the republican project “Personnel reserve” Ivan Gerasimov. Guests conducted interesting lesson and spoke about the nature protection measures being implemented in the republic. Students, in turn, shared their success in participating in various events, competitions, conferences dedicated to ecology. In summer, children go on an expedition to the southeast of Tatarstan to search for the remains of animals, explore the flora and fauna of the area. The children’s enthusiasm in ecologybrings a good result, teacherssay. In 2016, kids showed their knowledge in many contests and received more than 50 awards of national and nationwide levels, and also added some interesting findings to the collection of exhibits in the school ecological museum “Earth Charter”.

Head of the department of environmental education and interaction with public organizations of the Ministry of Ecology DamirValiullinoffered collaboration and cooperation in terms of environmental educationto the school administration. “It is very important for us that the younger generation understand that the nature is our home. And taking care of nature, animals and plants, and preservation its primevalnessis a foundation of environmental education”, – he said.
