In Kazan, PovolzhskiyEnvironmental scientific school conference named after A.M.Terentev was held

Young nature researchers from the republics and regions of the Volga region took part in the Environmental scientific conference named after A.M.Terentev. The event was held in Kazan in the recreational and educational center“Duslyk”. The participants and guests of the conference were welcomed by the chief of the department of environmental education and interaction with public organizations of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan DamirValiullin: “In Tatarstan, 2017 is declared the Year of Ecology and Specially Protected Areas. The Ministry of Ecology has scheduled a numberof events, activities of different formats. Particular attention is paid to the development of a system of continuous environmental education and awareness as one of the main factors of ecological security in the country. Tatarstan is a part of a huge state that is rapidly changing and improving. Our joint force with you, young environmentalists, is in unity and protection of the natural resources of our native land. I wish you all good luck and victory!”The participants presented their reports on six areas: general ecology, industrial and chemical ecology, conservation of biological diversity, urban ecology, agroecology, protection and rational use of water resources. The last nomination appeared the largest and most prestigious, which is not surprising, since its winner will enter the regional level of the Russian Junior Water Contest and go to Moscow. This honorary award was given to Marat Zinnatov, a student ofLeskhozsk school of Arsk district with the project “Hydrological and hydrochemical monitoring of Kazanka River inArsk”.

Organizers of the forum are the Institute of ecology and natural resources of the Academy of Sciences of RT with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of RT, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of RT.
