Laboratory tests help to identify source of discharge into river Kazanka.

Today, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan received a report on wastewater discharge through storm sewers into river Kazanka. Inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, jointly with specialists of CSIAC (Central Specialized Inspection for Analytical Control),have sampled thewater. An administrative investigation has been initiated to identify the source and the reasons why the discharge had beendone. In case of exceeding the maximum allowable concentrations of chemicals in wastewatersamples, the damage caused to the water bodywill be calculated. This offense is punished under Art. 7.6 of the Administrative Code (Unauthorized occupation of a water body or its use in violation of the conditions), Art. 8.13 of the Administrative Code (Violation of rules of water bodiesprotection), Art.8.6 of the Administrative Code (Corruption of land).
