“Tatarstan volunteers” passed the “green GTO” exams

The youth center“Volga”is holding Republican educational program “Volunteer of Tatarstan”, attended by 100 volunteers from 35 districts of the republic. Under this program, the participants got acquainted with the environmental project “Green GTO” (Ready for Labour and Defence). Childrenlearnedabout ecology and passed exams in environmental GTO. The event passed in two stages: test and interactive. The test stage included questions regarding respect for the nature resources, separate wastecollection, social advertising, healthy food, and animal protection. The interactive stage consisted of 5 sites “EcoHouse”, “EcoMarket”, “Separate waste collection”, “Yashel Tatarstan”, “Properties of waste”, where the participants of the exams were required to demonstrate their environmental thinking. In addition to traditional areas,it was discussed the draft document “Declaration of environmental responsibility” with interesting suggestions madein it.

The educational program also included workshops, interactive sessions aimed to teach the basic concepts of volunteering and volunteer work, tell about large-scale interregional and republican volunteer projects, activities of the Tatarstan regional branch of the All-Russian public organization “Volunteers of Victory”. The event is aimed at improving the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of volunteers.
