Today Chief state inspector of Tatarstan in the field of environmental protection FayazShakirovstudied the results of activitiesof the Zavolzhsky Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the republicfor 2016. Specialists of the Zavolzhsky TA carry out environmental surveillance in Bavlinsky, Kama-Ustyinsky, Apastovsky, Kaybitsky, Drozhzhanovsky, Tetyushskydistricts. Headof the department,NikolayVasin, reported on the works performed. During 2016 the department carried out 339 inspections, checked 219 enterprises and objects. The fines amounted to more than 2.5 million roubles. The damage to the environment of more than 7 million roubles. 4592 water analyzeswere made, and 491 vehicles were checked for toxicity and smokinessof exhaust gas. In 2016, 118 inspections were carried outon the production and consumption waste, 121 violations of the lawwere found, and 64 resolutions on bringing the offenders to administrative responsibilitywere issued. Deputy Minister of EcologyFayazShakirov instructed to intensify efforts to curb illegal occupation of coastal strips of water objects of regional importance andsupervision of illegal subsoil users. Alloffenders should be required to carry out reclamation of damagedlands. He also reminded that, beginning this year, every watercraft producing common minerals in the water must be connected to a single state information system of the Republic of Tatarstan by means of the satellite navigation equipment GLONASS or GLONASS/GPS.
