Aznakaevo biological treatment plant work in a new way after intervention of environmentalists

Discharges into the river Kamenka from the biological treatment plant of village Aktubinsky in Aznakaevo district, operated by JSC “Aznakaevo heating services”, excessed the allowable limits. The situation was taken under control by the Tatar interdistrict environmental prosecutor office and Priiksky Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Based on the results of quantitative chemical analysis, the environmentalists have calculated the amount of damage caused to the water body. The Tatar interdistrict environmental prosecutor instituted administrative proceedings against officials on Art. 8.14 part 1 of the Administrative Code of RF, Art. 7.6 of the Administrative Code of RF, and Art. 8.1 of the Administrative Code of RF, and against the legal person – on Art. 8.14 part 1. The imposed and charged fine amounted to 102 thousand roubles in total. The claim for damages in the amount of 200 thousand roubles has been lodged. By now the JSC “Aznakaevo heating services” has implemented a number of measures to ensure quality treatment of wastewater, including modernization of scrapers and aerotanks.
