Inspectors of Kama TA of Ministry of Ecology initiated an administrative investigation on dumping of contaminated snow into the river Melekeska

Dumpingof contaminated snow into the river Melekeskain Tukaevskdistrict wasfound by inspectors of Kama Territorial Administration of the RT Ministry of Ecology.

Laboratory specialists (SIAC – Specialized Inspection of Analytical Control) have taken samples to confirm the dumping of snow contaminated with reagents from bridge into the river. The offenders will be prosecuted under Art. 8.13 part 4 of the Administrative Code: failure to comply with the requirements for water bodiesprotection, which can result in their pollution, contamination, or depletion. A similar violation has been identified inBuinskdistrict. During the survey of the Buinsk-Tarkhany road, the experts of Zavolzhsky territorial administrationhave revealed the fact of violation of the protection riverSviyaga.

By now 68 unauthorized dumps of snow were identified in Tatarstan(207 in previous year). Inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology of RT remind that snow must be removed to specially designated areas. Activities to identify illegal snow dumps are carried out day and night.
