Minister FaridAbdulganiyev attended reception of citizens in Yelabuga

Receptionof citizens ofMortovsky rural settlementwas held in Yelabuga. Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan FaridAbdulganiyev and Head of Yelabuga municipal district, mayor of Yelabuga Gennady Emelyanovanswered questions of the residents. During the meeting were announced the results of 2016 year and set objectives for 2017. The Minister thanked the Elabuga residents for active participation in environmental activities. FaridAbdulganiyevtold the participants about the programs planned in the framework of the Year of ecology and public spaces. “Tatarstan successfully solves the problem of socio-economic development. According to preliminary estimates on the results of 2016, the gross regional product increased by 2.5%, while emissions into air decreased by 8.5 thousand tons”, – said the Minister. 2016 was the first year of full-scale work on implementation of the Strategy of socio-economic development of the country until 2030adopted in 2015. FaridAbdulganiyevalso mentioned that 53 companies were attracted to the special economiczone, of them 22 residents carry outindustrial and production activities. The share of SEZ “Alabuga” is two-thirds of the proceeds of all special economic zones in Russia. The volume of investments, utilized by the residents for the entire period of activity, amounted to more than 100 billion roubles. TheMinister also touched topic of tourism as particularly relevant for Yelabuga. In accordance with the Strategy of socio-economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan to 2030, tourism is recognized as one of the priority sectors of the economy of the Republic.
