Today, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan FaridAbdulganiyev and the Head of RosPrirodNadzor in Tatarstan FaridKhairutdinov familiarized with the activities of the South-East Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology of RT. The head of the department Albert Malikovreported on the results of 2016. “1128 violations of environmental legislation, 3 criminal cases, more than 15 million rubles of fines”, –these figures were reported byMalikov. Specialists of South-Eastern TD perform environmental supervision in Almetyevsk, Leninogorsk, Bugulma, Nurlat, and Cheremshan. In 2016 the inspectors conducted 865 inspections and eliminated 1083 violations of environmental legislation. A total of about 156 “wild mines” have been surveyed,332 places of unauthorized waste disposalhave been identified, and business of 23 companieshas been suspended. 204 cases have reviewed, which is 44 more than in 2015, are 197 were decided in favour of the Ministry, as reported by the head of the department Albert Malikov. Minister FaridAbdulganiyev positively assessed the results of the South-East TD activities. The activities on identifying violations of water protection legislation should be carried on in 2017, he said. The head of the Ministry of Ecology said that before March 1 small and medium businesses must submit reports on formation, use, detoxification,and disposal of waste resulted from economic and other activities. “It is necessary to intensify efforts in this direction and create all the necessary conditions, in particular, provide advice,” instructed the Minister. Among other Abdulganiev orders are strengthening measures to prevent illegal dumps and paying special attention to the state of the atmospheric air. He noted that a lot of work on the improvement of bank areas has been done in the Year of the water protection zones. One of the most striking examples is opening of the tourist andrecreational zone at the Almetyevsk city lake after complete renovation. All these works will be continued in 2017, declared the Year of Ecology in Russia and the Year of ecology and public spacesin the Republic of Tatarstan, the priority of which will also be a respect for nature.   Press-service of MENR of RT
