IldarKhalikov: “Importance of Ministry of Ecology grows for realization of tasks placed by people”

“It is not by coincidence that for the third consecutive yearthe Republic of Tatarstan holds, in one way or another, Yearof Ecology. The first was the Year of parks and squares, then the Year of water protection areas, now the Year of ecology and public spaces. And involvementin the meeting ofall heads of all regions of the republicis not by accident too,” – remarked the Prime Minister of Tatarstan IldarKhalikov at the final meeting of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the RT and the Office of the Federal Service for Nature Management Supervision in RT, which was held today in the Kazan Power Engineering University. He stressed the importance of the Ministry of Ecology in the implementation of the tasks set by the people of the republic. “It is good that the meeting is held in the university. Any further steps show that without engaging our educational institutions and science the movement forward is becoming increasingly difficult in dealing with various problems.”“We are ready to jointly implement projects and programs,” – addressed the Prime Minister to Sergey Fokin, Secretary of the Federal Environmental Council of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Director of the Federal State Organization “All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of the Environment Protection”. In particular, in dealing with the issues associated with blue-green algae: “In recent years this problem is becoming big and serious for all reservoirs and rivers of the republic, and requires collective solving, otherwise, much of what we are doing will not bring any result”. IldarKhalikovalso ordered to continue work on providing access to water protection zones. “We do not aim to demolish allobjects,our task is to observe the law”. He praised the work of environmental agencies to eliminate landfills as part of sanitary and environmental bimonthly. The Prime Minister proposed to publish and display in mediathe offenders who dump garbage in unauthorized places.
