Book exhibition “Nature gives inspiration”opened in Kazan in the Year of Ecology

Under the Year of Ecology, a large reading room of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstanhosts a book exhibition “Nature gives inspiration” as a part of the series “From Russia to Russia: culturalconstants”. The exhibition is dedicated to picturing of Russian landscape and introduces the features of styles, directions, and schools of landscape painting.

The exposition displays albums, monographs, encyclopaedias, multimedia publications and postcards that tell about the history of the landscape as an independent genre of painting, from the late 19th century to the present day. The album “Masterpieces of Russian painting” contains over 3500 reproductions of paintings and introduces the recognized landscape artists of Russia. A separate section presents educational literature and practical guides in the series “Everything about paintingtechniques” for those who wants to master the landscapepainting.
