Students and young scientists can take part in scientific symposium “Issues of Geology and Mineral Resources Development” named after academician M.A. Usov

XXI International Scientific Symposium of students and young scientists “Issues of Geology and Mineral Resources Development” named after academician M.A.Usov will be held on 3-7 April 2017 at the Tomsk Polytechnic University, Institute of Natural Resources. Students, graduate students and young scientists under 35 y.o.are invitedto participate in the symposium.

The themes of the symposium are:

Section 1 –Palaeontology, stratigraphy, and regional geology. Geographic information systems in geosciences.

Section 2 – Mineralogy, geochemistry, and petrography.

Section 3 – Mineral deposits. Modern technologies and methods of prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits. Geo-information systems in geology.

Section 4 –Oil and gasgeology. Modern methods of prospecting and exploration of hydrocarbons. Geoinformationsystems in oil and gas geology.

Section 5 – Geophysical methods of the Earth exploration, and prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits. Geoinformation systems in geosciences.

Section 6 – Hydrogeology and engineering geology. Geoinformationsystems in hydrogeological studies.

Section 7 – Hydrogeochemistry and hydrogeoecologyof the Earth. Geo-information systems in hydrogeoecology.

Section 8 –Space geological research and remote methods of research and management of natural resources.

Section 9 – Land survey, state cadastre of real estate, issues of land and property relations.

Section 10 –Geoecology and environmental protection. Geo-information systems in geoecology.

Section 11 – Geology and exploration of ores of rare and radioactive elements and strategic metals.

Section 12 – Modern technologies of development of oil and gas fields.

Section 13 – Power supply and automation of oil and gas facilities.

Section 14 – Modern technologies of preparation and processing of natural resources.

Section 15 – Integrated use of raw mineral resources.

Section 16 – Modern drilling equipment and technologies.

Section 17 – Mining. Development of metallic and non-metallic minerals.

Section 18 – Modern equipment and technologies of oil and gastransportation and storage.

Section 19 – Economy of mineral and hydrocarbon raw resources.

Section 20 – Geology, mining and oil and gas industry.

The event will include the roundtable “Youth. Science. Education. Challenges. Outlook” and the competition for the best scientific report on each of the 20 sections of the symposium.
