ECO-actives of Autograd met“green GTO” norms

Application of eco-standards in life and in construction of house, knowledge of healthy eating rules and methods used in sorting of solid waste – these issues were discussed today by “ECO-actives” of schools and universities. Examination on the“Green GTO” norms (GTO – (Russian abbreviation of “Ready for Labor and Defense”) was held inthe Youth Center “Orion” inthe city of Naberezhnye Chelny. The event had two parts: test and interactive. Test part included questions regarding care about nature resources, separate wastecollection, social advertising, healthy eating, and animal care. The interactive part consisted of 5 sections – “EcoHouse”, “EcoMarket”, “Separate waste collection”, “Green Tatarstan”, “Properties of waste” – where the participants of the examination were required to demonstrate their ecological mind. The goal of it is to promote the ecological culture among youth ofthe Republic of Tatarstan.

The project “ECO-actives” is implemented for the purpose of formation of ecological mindin students andteaching the rules for a proper household waste disposal. It is held at the initiative of Naberezhnye Chelny branch of the Russian eco-movement “Musora.Bolshe.Net” (“no more waste” in Russian) in cooperation with the Kama Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
