A photo-exhibition "#ECOTATARSTAN2016" devoted to the Year of water protection areas is held in Kazan

A photo-exhibition "#ECOTATARSTAN2016" devoted to the Year of water protection areas is held these days in Kazanat Selet (23 Ostrovskogo str.).The exhibition features pieces of work of participants of the photocontest carried out by the Republican Youth Public Fund "Selet" and the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan. The photocontest was held this year from September 5th to October 5th. More than 140 people from various districts of the Republic participated in the contest. A total of 3 winners were announced following the results: 

1 place – Regina Sakhabetdinova;

2 place – Laysan Gimadieva; 

3 place – Elina Karimova.

The manager of the "#ECOTATARSTAN2016" project, LiliyaValeeva, firmly believes that each person can contribute into improvement of the ecological situationof Tatarstan from school days. "I start to notice lately that it has become trendy to be eco-friendly both in my surrounding and among young people. The lifestyle that involves sport, nutrition, and participation in various eco-related events - all that in complex - forms an ecological lifestyle, which is good of course. Starting from the early childhood my parents habituated me to cleanliness and taught me to take care of nature. At our school we hold the ecological lessons, and due to this fact this topic arose special interest in me. I was an active participant of the movement "School eco-patrol", and now I participate in various ecology-related conferences and contests. I am sure that the ecological state of the Planet depends only on us. Take care of nature and it will repay you in kind!", she acknowledged.

The photocontest and exhibition "#ECOTATARSTAN2016" are meant to form active attitude in young people regarding solution of relevant problems related to the selection of the way the civilization will develop, and to solve the conflict between the biosphere and the man's activity, preservation and restoration of the quality of the environment.
