Thousands of citizens of Naberezhnye Chelny participated in the municipal Saturday work campaign

A large-scale Saturday work campaign on cleaning and beautification of territories was held last weekend in Naberezhnye Chelny. A total of 908 organizations participated in the cleaning campaign, and 390 equipment units were engaged. More than 2.5 thousand cubic meters of waste and dry grass were removed during the day. The aim of the event is to bring the territory of the city into compliance with the requirements of ecological and sanitary & epidemiological safety of the population. During the Saturday work campaign, lawns were cleaned from leaves on Mira Ave., in the Victory Park, on Shishkinsky blvd. and Yunykh Lenintsev blvd., in the park of Culture and Recreation of GES village, Park Sidorovsky, Park Coliseum in ZYAB village, as well as on the quay of Tukay and along the coastal area of the Melekeska River. Fellow workers of "Electrotransport" LLC cleaned 116 km of tram lines from waste. On the same day, more than 5 thousand trees and bushes were planted on Tekhnicheskaya str., Chulman ave, Kar'yrnaya str., in the Victory Park and on Polyakova str. Fellow workers of the Executive Committee, deputies of the Municipal Council, as well as fellow workers of the Volga Ecological Company participated in the event. A total of 46,700 trees and bushes have been planted in Avtograd since October 1st. A total of 15,902 cubic meters of waste were collected and removed from the territory of the city; 18 unauthorized landfills and waste piles have been liquidated.
