A meeting with participants of the Republican contest of young leaders "Up!" was held at the Ministry of Ecology

The projects elaborated and implemented in the field of environment protection, ecological safety, prevention of negative impact of economic and other activity on the environment were presented today by the participants of the Republican contest of young leaders "Up!". The meeting was held at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. "We pay much attention to the large-scale ecology-oriented events, since they promote involvement of adolescents to the study of natural, historical and cultural heritage of the Republic, foster careful attitude to nature, development of civil responsibility and ecological culture", acknowledged Head of the Department of the Information and Analytical Activity of the Ministry of Ecology, Inessa Yarullina. - "It is you, representatives of the young generation, who in 5-10 years need to become aware of the responsibility for the environment preservation having become the propellant power for the further development of our Republic".

The Republican contest "Up!" is carried out annually by the Ministry for Youth Affairs and Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Regional public organization "Academy of creative youth of the Republic of Tatarstan". A total of 45 young men and women participate in the contest being candidates to gain the right to become part of the Youth Government of the Republic of Tatarstan. The aim of the "Up!" contest is to support and fulfill the potential of young leaders.

The contest is held in stages. During the head-to-head stage, the contestants need to show themselves in six contests: "Creative self-presentation", "Republican Olympiad of social cases", a business game "Interdepartmental meeting on the matter...", "Defense of a social project", "Individual interview .... to fill the vacancy of the Ministry's employee", and "Business correspondence".

Traditionally, the winners of the contest will be referred for internship to the state authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan, the companies and public associations. Moreover, starting 2016, the Youth Government of the Republic of Tatarstan will be formed based on the results of this contest.
