The Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan received today a report on illegal landfill between Tsaritsyno and Nagorny villages through the Republican Public Ecological Reception Office. When they arrived, the inspectors registered the area of littered territory amounting to more than 200 square meters. By testing the morphological composition of waste, ecological specialists in no time detected the organization that illegally discharged waste on to the soil, namely office papers, plastic, PE, and incandescent lamps. The offender will have to not only eliminate the illegal landfill, but he/she will be subject to the punishment according to Article 8.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Failure to comply with ecological and sanitary&epidemiological requirements in the course of management of production and consumption waste, the substances destroying the ozone layer, as well as other hazardous substances"). The punishment implies either a fine in the amount of up to 250 thousand rubles, or administrative suspension of activity up to 90 days.
As a reminder, a Public Ecological Reception Office is operating at the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic. One can report on extraction of mineral resources, unauthorized landfill, restriction of the access to the water body, discharge of pollutants into the water body, on to the soil, as well as air pollution at hot line number: (843)267-68-67, via e-mail: eco.signal@tatar.ru, or a report can be sent to the "People's Control" system (the "Ecology" category), while a special mobile application "School eco-patrol" was elaborated for the pupils. Moreover, the citizens who provide operative information on the violations of the nature protection legislation with photo or video registration of such are remunerated.
