The experience of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan on the monitoring of the air state was demonstrated today to the Minister of Kaluga Region, Varvara Antokhina

Assurance of the functioning of the territorial system for the environmental monitoring, implementation of the systems for summary calculations of air pollution in Tatarstan, material and technical base and information technologies in the work of ecological specialists from Tatarstan - these and many other topics were discussed today by the Minister for Ecology of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev and the Minister for Natural Resources and Ecology of Kaluga Region Varvara Antokhina. "Under the conditions of dynamic development of industry, agriculture, and construction, Kaluga Region preserves the status of an ecologically favorable region. Great work is conducted in our Region for landscaping, beautification, and sanitary cleaning of urban settlements. Joint efforts of state authorities, local authorities of municipal units, organizations and citizens in this field yield positive results", told Varvara Antokhina.  –“But we move forward, and your experience would be helpful for us". The territorial plan of the environmental monitoring of the Republic of Tatarstan aroused special interest in the Minister for Natural Resources of Kaluga Region. "This system for the environmental monitoring of the Republic includes 8 modern stationary eco-analytical laboratories, 16 automatic air pollution control stations, 6 mobile ecological laboratories, a patrolling eco-analytical vessel "Flamingo", and 3 motor boats. This system includes monitoring of air, soils, and water facilities. Monitoring of the air state is conducted in the Republic at 123 monitoring sites with carrying out of more than 2 million tests per year, including tests of pollutants; the control is ensured continuously in an automatic mode", acknowledged Farid Abdulganiev.  Within the framework of the working visit, the Minister of Kaluga Region, Varvara Antokhina, familiarized with the work of stationary and mobile posts for environment monitoring, in particular, with the first in Russia and in Tatarstan mobile laboratory equipped with a chromatographic and mass spectrometric complex allowing to determine more than 100 thousand pollutants in the air. The complex allows to carry out high-quality assay of 43 pollutants, as well as a qualitative test of more than 100 thousand air pollutants.
