Inspectors of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, public inspectors, representatives of administrations of Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky, Kirovsky and Moscovskydistricts of Kazan, students, pupils, and fellow workers of companies, establishments and organizations, as well as those who care took active part in the cleaning campaign. "Today we went out to clean in order to prepare the city for winter and to clean municipal facilities. Our aim is to attract maximum amount of caring citizens, fellow workers of companies and establishments of various forms of ownership", informed fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology."It is important to carry out Saturday work campaigns not only in spring, but also in autumn. Traditionally, in spring we carry out works on beautification of the territory, yards and residential buildings. But we should take into consideration that litter and waste also pileduring summer. If every citizen of our native city goes out to clean the territory adjacent to his/her house or organization, and if he/she participates in the cleaning of lawns, roads, and square gardens, Kazan will definitely become cleaner. We urge everyone to participate in autumn Saturday-work campaigns", acknowledged caring citizens of Kazan. More than 800 tons of waste were removed to the landfill. Earlier the cleaning campaign was also carried out in Sovetsky, Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinsky districts of Kazan.

Large-scale autumn decade cleaning campaign is held in every municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan.The aim of the event, held on the threshold of cold weather,is to bring the territory of the Republic into compliance with the requirements of ecological and sanitary & epidemiological safety of the population.
