The wildlife area of the Blue Lake – the favorite recreation place of the citizens of Kazan – was cleaned and beautified

A report on discharge of waste, fallen trees, damaged bridges in the wildlife area of the Blue Lake was received by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. State inspectors of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan immediately visited the site.The fact of discharge of production and consumption waste was confirmed during the raid. The representatives of the "Scientific-experimental Prigorodniy forestry" cleaned the territory of the Blue Lake. Inspectors of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology together with the representatives of the Ministry of Forestry of Tatarstan and the Executive Committee of Vysokaya Gora Municipal District re-examined the territory of the State Natural Complex Reserve "Blue Lakes". During the inspection, no littering of the territory, the sites for waste collection or the territory of recreational areas was observed. As a reminder, the Blue Lakes in Kazan have been considered the natural monument since 1972, and the adjacent territory is considered the wildlife area. A month ago, the Ministry of Ecology carried out a large-scale Saturday work campaign here to clean the territory from litter, and to engage the population in the nature protection activity. At that point of time all nature protection authorities of the Republic joined their efforts.

One can address the Republican Public Ecological Reception Office on violations of the nature protection legislation: it is possible to report on extraction of mineral resources, unauthorized landfills, restriction of access to the water body, discharge of pollutants into the water body, on to the soil, as well as air pollution at hot line number: (843)267-68-67, via e-mail: eco.signal@tatar.ru, or a report can be sent to the "People's Control" system (the "Ecology" category), while a special mobile application "School eco-patrol" was elaborated for the pupils. Moreover, the citizens who provide operative information on the violations of the nature protection legislation with photo or video registration of such are remunerated.
