Farid Abdulganiev familiarized with the ecological situation in Kukmor district

The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev, Director of the Federal State Institution for Water Management "Sredvolgavodkhoz" Foat Mukhametshin, Head of the Northern Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology Radik Shagiakhmetov went to Kukmor district on a business trip. The delegation was accompanied by the Head of the district, Sergey Dmitriev. Representatives of the Ministry and "Sredvolgavodkhoz" familiarized in detail with the course of work on the coastline of the Nurminka River, inspected the ski and roller track that leads to the ski center. Farid Abdulganiev acknowledged the need to elaborate a project on alignment of the channel of the Nurminka River flowing near the track. Moreover, the delegation visited the "Kukmor felting factory". The representative of the factory acknowledged that today the company is a leading Russian manufacturer of felt boots. The factory produces more than 1 million pairs of boots per year. Besides felt boots, the factory also produces felt cloth and the articles of popular consumption: various blankets, sleeping bags, vests, bathroom supplies from white felt for sauna, and grease retainers. Special attention is paid to children's goods: felt boots for kids, blankets, pillows, mattresses for baby strollers and sledges, as well as slippers. After familiarization with the manufacturing process and nature protection activity of the factory, Farid Abdulganiev and administration of the factory agreed on further cooperation in the field of solution of problems related to the ecological safety.           

The working visit of the delegation headed by Farid Abdulganiev finished with a Lesson of Ecology for the pupils of the 9th form at Manzaras secondary school. The lesson was devoted to the Year of Water Protection Areas in the Republic of Tatarstan. "We hold such ECo-lessons to attract attention of the young generation to the matters of environmental protection, development of ecological mindset and careful attention to water as a vital resource", acknowledged the Minister for Ecology. - "We are sure that owing to such lessons many of the problems that we have to solve today will not be of any relevance in the nearest future".
