The Ministry of Ecology and the ECO-movement "BUDETCHISTO" will hold a VeloQuest on the Car Free Day

On September 22nd, the Car Free Day, a VeloQuest will take place in Kazan - the participants riding bikes are out for adventures.  The teams will have to try and perform 10 tasks within 2 hours - they will need to take complex, but interesting routes. The best and the most active participants will be awarded with prizes.

The event is organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Youth Ecological Movement "BUDETCHISTO", and the Ropes park of Kazan "Sky park".

The participants are to gather on September 22nd at 4 pm in the Millennium Park (Telephone for reference: 8-987-231-14-01). Traditionally, on a Car Free Day, fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan get to work using public transportation and a bicycle. Not only active participants of ecological movements and organizations can join the campaign, but also any citizen who cares about the state of the air.

As a reminder, the world campaign "Car Free Day" is designed to remind of the negative influence of vehicles on the environment and to urge people to think over the idea to use alternative transportation means, for instance public transportation or a bike. On average, each vehicle discharges about 5-6 kg of pollutants with exhaust gases on a daily basis.

The main slogan of the Day: "A city as the space for people and the space for living".
