September 22nd - the World Card Free Day

The world campaign "Car Free Day" will be held on September 22nd to  remind people of the negative influence of vehicles on the environment and to urge people to think over the idea to use alternative transportation means, for instance public transportation or a bike. The main slogan of the Day: "A city as the space for people and the space for living". Traditionally, on a Car Free Day, fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan will get to work using public transportation and bicycles. Not only active participants of ecological movements and organizations can join the campaign, but also any citizen who cares about the state of the air.

On average, each vehicle discharges about 5-6 kg of pollutants with exhaust gases on a daily basis.
