Farid Abdulganiev, the Minister for Ecology, held an eco-lesson on the Knowledge Day

Farid Abdulganiev, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, held an eco-lesson today, on the Knowledge Day, for the pupils of 5th forms of the Specialized School No. 4 in Elabuga. “Today we started ‘Lessons of cleanliness’, it is some sort of a nature protection campaign, where we, ecological specialists, tell pupils about the matters related to the careful attitude to the environmentandlay the information against everyone on harmony with nature, and the rational approach to intervening with the natural processes”, informed the Minister Farid Abdulganiev. He told the pupils about the activity of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.  –“We are certain that owing to such lessons many of the questions that we have to deal with today won’t be relevant in the nearest future.  During such lessons the pupils will be able to analyze their way of living and evaluate what changes in the behavior of people allow to decrease the negative impact on nature. We are happy that we see high-level interest and activity of children themselves. Justyesterday,we summarized the results of theIIRepublican contest “School eco-patrol”. Overtheacademicyear 2015-2016, we received more than 5,000 reports from pupils of Tatarstan on unauthorized landfills. Today, a new contest, the3rd one, has already started.Aspirationfor cleanliness should be present in the heart of everyone, and I am sure that those pupils, who send us photos of landfills and litter, will never commit a crime against nature”.

The “Lessonofcleanliness”campaignisaimedatdisseminationofecologicalknowledgeintheyounggeneration, fostering of responsible attitude to the natural resources and the environment, development of ecological mindset, support and development of the system of continuous ecological education and enlightenment in the Republic of Tatarstan. During the academic year, ecological lessons will be held at every educational institution of Tatarstan.
