An Ecoparty was held last Saturday in Naberezhnye Chelny More than fifty bags of litter were removed from the coastal area of the Kama River

The All-Russian campaign "The country of my dream" was supported in Naberezhnye Chelny as well. The fellow workers of the Cis-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan, ecological movement "No. More. Litter. Naberezhnye Chelny", active participants of municipal ecological events, workers of "PEC" LLC, pupils of the "Ecoclub" and citizens of the city held a large-scale Saturday work campaign by joining the efforts. The event was carried out on the coastal area of the Kama River within the framework of the Year of water protection areas. A total of 3.5 km of the coastal area was cleaned from litter.

"Lakes and rivers of our motherland are our wealth, and we should protect it. It is necessary to prevent pollution of water resources, to carry out routine monitoring of their state", acknowledged participants of the cleaning campaign. The aim of the event was to bring the territory of the Republic into compliance with the requirements of ecological and sanitary & epidemiological safety of the population.

"Such work on cleaning and improvement of the coastal areas of the Kama River will be continued with active participation of public organizations, companies, and municipal institutions", informed ecological specialists of the Cis-Kama Territorial Department.
