Fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology were awarded today for assurance of ecological safety during the World Aquatics Championship.

The solemn ceremony of awarding of fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan was held today to distinguish them for assurance of ecological safety during the World Aquatics Championship 2015. The ceremony included Alexey Pesoshin, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Farid Abdulganiev, Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. "Today we all gathered to thank you all for being able to hold by joint efforts one of the best in history World Aquatics Championships", addressed the audience Alexey Pesoshin. - "Each one of you did his/her work clearly and confidently. Owing to your work, comfortable conditions and ecological safety were taken care of. Holding in Tatarstan of such large-scale sports events as Universiade 2013, the World Aquatics Championship and many upcoming events prove once again that ecological specialists are moving in the right direction", he emphasized wishing his colleagues further success in work. "On the threshold of the XVI World Aquatics Championship, the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan enhanced control over the state of the Kazanka River. Water samples were drawn on a daily basis, and hundreds of water tests were performed for chemical and toxicological parameters. The activities of ecological specialists on control and surveillance allowed to hold the open water swimming and high diving competitions at a high level. We all know that favorable environment is one of the requirements of the International Swimming Federation FINA. And we will try to competently hold the upcoming events", summed up Farid Abdulganiev.
