Several companies at once can be the cause of bad odor in Naberezhnye Chelny Ecological specialists inspect stock breeding complexes of Autograd.

The results of air tests in Naberezhnye Chelny have been announced today. Several citizens from Naberezhnye Chelny (New City, villages ZYAB, GES and Sidorovka) and Elabuga addressed the Cis-Kama Territorial Department complaining of bad odor. Based on the complaints of the citizens, experts of the Cis-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan carried out emergency activities on detection of causes of the smell, the information received from automatic air pollution control stations (AAPCS) was analyzed in GES village and the New City, along with the information received from AAPCS in Elabuga. Instrumental sample drawing was performed using a mobile laboratory. In Naberezhnye Chelny, the values of such parameters as carbon oxide, hydrogen sulfide, xylene, ethyl benzene, and toluene were exceeded. The values of the same substances were also exceeded in Elabuga.  A total of 3 thousand tests have been performed so far.  

Ecological specialists acknowledge that the presence of such substances is characteristic of stock breeding complexes. Within the framework of the administrative investigation into an uncertain group of people, experts of the Cis-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with fellow workers of the Special inspection for analytical control under the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan carried out an inspection of potential sources of bad odor. Analytical control of unauthorized burst releases from enterprises is carried out both during daytime and at night.
