Ecological specialists in Nurlaty district registered discharge of waste on to the soil

Inspectors of the South-Eastern Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan registered the facts of stocking of scrap metals on the soil and violation of waste (petroleum products) management rules in Nurlaty district on the premises of the scrap metal company Trust Metal LLC. The area of littering of the territory (ferrous steel scrap) amounted to 1,458.4 sq. m., and the extent of piled waste made up 96 cubic meters. The area of soil pollution (petroleum products spill) amounted to 8.75 sq. m. Moreover, the fact of illegal extraction of groundwaters on the territory was also confirmed. To that extent, inspectors of the South-Eastern Territorial Department drew protocols on administrative violations against a legal entity Trust Metal LLC under Article 8.6, part 2, of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Destruction of the fertile soil layer, as well as damage to the lands as a result of violation of the rules of handling of pesticides, agricultural chemicals, and other substances and consumption/production wastes hazardous for human health and the environment"), under Article 8.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Failure to comply with ecological and sanitary&epidemiological requirements in the course of management of production and consumption waste, the substances destroying the ozone layer, as well as other hazardous substances"), as well as under Article 7.3, part 1, of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Use of mineral resources without a license"), Article 8.6, part 2, of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, Article 8.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation against an official at Trust Metal LLC.
