"Year after year we were terrified by the upcoming flood, since not only the village was drowned, the water even reached the highway Kazan-Orenburg", reminisce inhabitants of Kaipy village of Laishevo district of the Republic. At first, the Bryssa River looks very quiet and calm, but during the flooding period in spring and during the rainfall flood it drowned about 80 houses, high voltage power lines, communication lines, the automobile road, the school, the nursery and many hectares of agricultural lands. The damage inflicted on the environment by the harmful impact of waters, was immense. Two years ago we decided to clean the river and protect the shores. "This spring there was no flooding - perhaps, this is the best indicator of high-quality work", acknowledged the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev. - "Cleaning and lining of the Bryssa River was arranged as a trapezoidal crosssection corridor. The carried out work provides not only for the technical solution of the matter, but also creation of the elements of beautification", acknowledged Farid Abdulganiev. The work on protection of the riverbed was carried out in the area stretching for 1.75 km. Today, the Minister and the Head of Laishevo district, Mikhail Afanasyev, inspected again the carried out work and listened to suggestions and wishes of inhabitants of Kaipy village regarding beautification of other water bodies in Laishevo. "Comfort and safety of citizens matter", acknowledged the Head of Laishevo. In the nearest future, fish juveniles will be placed in the water body.
