Ecological specialists prevented illegal extraction of common mineral resources in Leninogorsk district

Inspectors of the South-Eastern Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan ascertained a fact of the use of mineral resources by the company Tatoilgas JSC at the site of mineral resources "Severo-Kerligachskoe" located in Leninogorsk district in breach of the requirements. In the course of the inspection, the excavator was extracting common mineral resources (limestone) on agricultural lands, which violates the terms of the licence agreement, as well as the norms of the Land Code. The area of developed quarry amounted to 10,000 sq. m., while the depth of excavation was 4-4.5 m. Fellow workers of the South-Eastern Territorial Department drew the relevant protocols on administrative violation under Article 7.3, part 2, of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("The use of mineral resources in breach of the terms envisaged by the license for the use of mineral resources and/or the requirements of the technical plan approved of in accordance with the established procedure") against a legal entity Tatoilgas JSC and the company's official.
